Registax 6 Tutorial
iCap is authored by The Imaging Source and has been specifically designed for use with Celestron Skyris astronomical CCD cameras. The software ships with all Celestron Skyris astronomical cameras, powered by The Imaging Source. Using iCap, you can do the following:
The 1st update of RegiStax 6 is available for download from the downloadpage. This update only replaces the executable file of RegiStax and needs to be installed in the same directory where RegiStax 6 has been installed, you should NOT uninstall. Download Release 6.1.0.8 (1.6 Mb) Find below the most important changes of this update.
Registax
- Set all camera parameters.
- See the live image data stream from the camera.
- Snap singular images from the camera and save them as BMP or JPG files.
- Capture image sequences and save the single images as enumerated BMP or JPG files.
- Capture image sequences and save them as lossless, uncompressed AVI files. These files can be post-processed in other astronomy applications, such as RegiStax.
- Jan 12, 2016 Personally, this distribution just became my new way to run Windows programs on a Mac (outside of using Bootcamp, pretty much only because of FireCapture, SGPro, and BackyardEOS at this point).
